A certain level of classical training enhances you as a singer and enables you to sing multiple types of music not limited to classical. SVSM currently offers an opportunity for you to learn Carnatic Music in the traditional way using modern technology, at your convenience.
Course Highlights
- Traditional Carnatic Music lessons starting from Varishas
- The course is offered at different levels, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced
- Those with prior training will be evaluated at the time of joining and will be assigned to the appropriate level
- Lesson pace based on student’s skill & practice
- Special vocal exercises
- Lesson plan divided into multiple levels with periodic evaluations and assessments
- Listening assignments as part of homework/practice (Listening to stalwarts)

Requirements
- Minimum age 6
- Laptop/Tablet with High Speed Internet Connection
- An account with Zoom/Skype
- Headphone with mic
- Sruthi Box/ phone app
- Quiet place to sit without being interrupted
- Lesson Notes (Will be provided as part of sessions)
- Though students must by-heart their lessons, We recommend keeping a hard copy of notes available while attending class
- Log in at least five minutes before the class and wait for the teacher to call
Students will get:
- Soft copy of notes and notations weekly/as per session progress
- Audio of the lesson & full session
