Appreciating any art form itself is an art.
When it comes to classical music, there has always been a tendency to shy away. Somehow, classical music has an unreachable aura around it. For someone, who is totally new to classical music, the unfamiliarity makes it hard to associate with it. A few believe that they can not enjoy a classical concert unless they understand the grammar. None of this is needed if you are totally open and ready to enjoy. However, some may still wish to understand the basics about Carnatic Music, like Ragam, Thalam and how to recognize the ragam, structure of a concert etc.
We will be conducting special sessions focused on the importance of listening and train the students on how to appreciate Carnatic music.
